What do you remember most about a hotel getaway? Is it the view? The service and amenities? The continental breakfast? Personally, I’m a sucker for a cozy bed, fluffy pillows, and a “vibe” I can’t seem to shake. Joe and I decided that, for our five year wedding anniversary, we wanted to stay somewhere overnight. […]
I posted a natural teeth whitening giveaway on Instagram yesterday to celebrate nearing 10k followers, and I’ll be gifting one of my Instagram followers a complete Caregenia kit! It’s my favorite set to use because it’s made in the USA, cruelty-free, and vegan friendly. As someone who has used a variety of whitening kits in the […]
Our rule of thumb is this: time outs are not meant to stress out or upset a child even more. They should be a break from the current situation (for both the child and the parent) and teach the child that this behavior is not acceptable. Time outs are an opportunity to teach your child a valuable lesson. When Liam acts out, I always ask myself: what can be learned from this? How can I best teach my child this lesson?
“I’ll be a boy mom one day. I just know it.” Even in high school, I would always assure my friends that I’d be the one with the mini van full of soccer gear in the trunk. The one complaining about bedrooms reeking of dirty socks and too much Axe spray. It wasn’t like I […]
As you all know from previous party blog posts I’ve done (like Liam’s western-themed 1st birthday, clubhouse-themed 2nd, or pirate-themed 3rd), we like to go big for our kids’ birthdays. When I say “we”, I really mean I. I do. I’m a crafty person who finds it therapeutic (and maybe a tiny bit stressful, not […]
The queen of home projects strikes again! No, but seriously… I have a bit of a problem when it comes to home projects. I only feel fulfilled when I have something going on! The plans, the ideas, the Pinteresting… It’s an obsession! I recently decided to renovate our tiny guest bedroom downstairs because the room […]
Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few years, you’ve without a doubt heard of the skincare brand Drunk Elephant. Their cohesive brand is appealing for sure, instantly recognizable on shelves thanks to fun, colorful packaging that makes it stand out among its competitors. But the Drunk Elephant difference is this: the brand […]
So let’s just say I’m very picky when it comes to sweaters. Don’t get me wrong, they don’t have to be cashmere or designer (did I mention I’m the bargain queen?), but I just happen to go through a very elaborate checklist when I try on a sweater: Is it soft? Does it itch even […]
Hello pretty ladies! I’ve been so busy lately, it’s not even okay. I am pretty proud to say, though, that in the past two weeks MamaNaturelle went from 400 something followers to a little under 1,650 on Instagram! If you’re not following along, please do 😉 Seems like something silly to jump up and down […]
Happy Sunday, everyone! I had SUCH a blast shooting outdoors yesterday, and was able to style a few pieces I’ve had in my closet for a little while now. I was bummed I didn’t have the opportunity to wear a few of my floral dresses this summer, and was wondering how to wear them comfortably […]
Hey Mamas! I feel like I dropped the ball these past few weeks. We were away for the whole month of August visiting my family in the Caribbean and it felt so good to disconnect for a bit. Nothing like family time and, of course, the ocean to recharge your batteries. It was so needed. […]
Last spring, Liam joined Soccer Shots, a wonderful soccer program for little ones between the ages of 2-8. We chose Soccer Shots because of how professional they are (every coach must complete a comprehensive training program, are routinely evaluated, and are selected not only based on their soccer abilities, but also ability to engage and inspire […]
You guys know how I always need a project to focus my attention on? First it was the kids‘ room renovations, our bedroom and dining room, then our “zen” patio … All of these projects keep me centered and busy, and I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I trust a vision and complete […]
There are two types of people in the world when it comes to esoteric, spiritual things. Those that: #1. Roll their eyes before they even hear a word and say, “yeah right, that’s all nonsense.” #2. Narrow their eyes and go, “hmmm, interesting. I believe that… Tell me more.” I am a proud #2 married to […]
Let me tell you one thing, Mamas: my skin has come a long way. Although I never suffered from hormonal acne growing up, I struggled on and off with hormonal acne after giving birth to Liam and throughout my pregnancy with Noah. I think that once my hormones got all out of wack because of […]
Noah is on the cusp of teething, and, of course, when I searched the house for all of Liam’s old baby teethers, they were nowhere to be found. Even the ones you put in the fridge… Disappeared. Gone. I decided to browse Amazon for the safest, eco-friendly, quality teethers for my little guy (they have […]
I’m usually not the kind of mom who gets all teary-eyed on her kid’s birthdays. I never saw these milestones as anything but exciting, and never got nostalgic over birthdays before. But, this year, something felt different. Maybe it’s because Noah came into the picture and turned Liam’s world upside down, or because he really […]
