6 Crystals For Moms Who Want to Be Happier, Healthier & More Creative

There are two types of people in the world when it comes to esoteric, spiritual things. Those that: #1. Roll their eyes before they even hear a word and say, “yeah right, that’s all nonsense.” #2. Narrow their eyes and go, “hmmm, interesting. I believe that… Tell me more.” I am a proud #2 married to a stubborn #1.

I am, after all, an Aquarius woman married to a Capricorn man. Just sayin’.

Recently, I became interested in crystals and their wide array of benefits. Due to Hurricane Irma hitting my home island in the Caribbean and having to deal with some family health issues from the very start of my pregnancy, I was pretty sure I would go through a roller coaster of emotions during the early postpartum months.

Luckily, I didn’t get the baby blues and was able to get back on my feet quickly.

However, that doesn’t mean I didn’t have (and continue to have) my fair share of struggles now, as a mom of two. In the past few months, I’ve experienced anxiety (which isn’t the norm for me), and have had to find healthy ways to cope with it. As many moms do, I have sometimes felt like I have the entire world on my shoulders and not enough help. This has caused my stress levels to sky rocket at times.

Even if you are one of those skeptical #2s, it doesn’t hurt to be familiar with the world of crystals and to see if your life can benefit from them. It’s not like we have anything to lose, right?

For thousands of years, ancient civilizations have used crystals to release a multitude of mental, physical, and spiritual blockages. The idea behind crystals is that, since they come from the earth, when they’re placed on your body, they can help you connect to the planet’s healing energy, leaving you feeling more relaxed and balanced. It is even believed that “crystals vibrate at the same pitch as humans – such that the resonance between the stone and the human either fights off the vibration of the illness or enhances the vibration of health” (Natural Living Ideas).

There are crystals for literally every area of your life from improving your love life, to being more successful in your career, letting go of anger and sadness, releasing self-doubt and insecurities, being more intuitive, creative, and so much more. It is actually a lot of fun to discover the virtues and benefits of each stone, and seeing which one fits your personality and overall life the most.

I compiled, below, a list of my six favorite crystals for moms, as well as my 3 favorite shops for custom crystal jewelry that heal and uplift women. The pieces aren’t just beautiful, they may be able to protect and heal us on the inside, too!

Whether you believe or not… Good vibes never hurt anyone, right?

Michelle is one of the kindest, most helpful women I have ever met. She took the time to send me so much information on crystals and was beyond patient as we worked out the details on the pieces I wanted. Her shop is a true passion project which initially started out as therapy for her, a creative way for her to practice mindfulness. Her shop is just stunning, and I encourage you to reach out to her personally with your needs. She is incredibly friendly and helpful! My favorite pieces are her raw clear quartz, moonstone, and crescent moon necklaces (I love to layer them as a set!), as well as this beautiful moonstone and quartz bracelet that promotes creativity, intuition, energy, and clarity.

I fell in love with Marty’s aesthetic immediately. Her shop is full of beautiful, boho pieces, as well as some elegant ones that I truly have not seen anywhere else. I fell in love with this stunning moonstone bracelet that promotes self-reflection and receptivity.

Another Michelle for the win! This shop easily made my top 3 favorite crystal destinations because of the chic, timeless pieces that Michelle custom-makes. I am all about minimalist pieces that work with any outfit, and her jewelry fits the bill. All of the pieces in her shop are discrete, delicate, and elegant. A must see! I love her simple raw moonstone necklace and how easy it is to wear daily.
