This past month has been all about brainstorming, planning, ordering, list-making, and errand-running, so please excuse me if the blog has looked a little sad lately . . .
Our little man turned two this past Monday and, to celebrate, we threw him a Mickey Mouse-themed birthday party. This Mama worked her butt off, let me tell you that, but the payoff was so worth it. The party was a hit!
The kiddos had a blast watching Mr. Kazoom the Balloon Guy build their favorite Disney characters from scratch, while the adults, sporting Mickey and Minnie ears, browsed the “Hot Diggity Dog” bar’s yummy treats.
Over the course of the afternoon, our backyard filled up with friends and family and it was heartwarming to realize how lucky we are to be surrounded by so much love. That alone was worth every second of the planning process! We are blessed to have you all in our lives.
The event was hard work and took weeks of planning, but none of it would’ve been possible without my amazing Etsy partners. They put their orders on standby and prioritized Liam’s party which meant the world to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It wouldn’t have been such a “two-rrific” day without your help and generosity 🙂
How cute is this hand painted wooden sign by Amanda (MamasRusticDecor)? Thrilled that I was her very first custom order! 🙂
Anita (KrafnStuff) did an amazing job on this “We’ve Got Ears Say Cheers” sign, but also on the “Hot Diggity Dog Bar” sign we hung up above the food table!OBSESSED with this Liam confetti! Leslie (PonderingPaper) always goes the extra mile to make her customers’ parties extra special!
Jessica (TKPaperCo) made the cutest chalkboard sign for our food station. From “Minnie’s Bowtie Pasta Salad” to “Donald’s Cheese and Quackers” and “Plu-Ta-To Chips”, the signs were a perfect addition to our feast! The confetti you see sprinkled around is by Kimberly (ThePixieGardenPlace).
I am still amazed by Allison’s (WinnieandWest) incredible Disney letters! We used them for the food station and dessert table because they were just too cute! Liam actually wanted them on his bookshelf in his room after the party 🙂 This is the best touch for a little one’s birthday party! The quality is fantastic, too – you won’t be disappointed!
Melissa (ThePinkGiraffe) did an incredible job on this “Happy Birthday” train banner but also on the “Come Inside, It’s Fun Inside” sign we hung up on our backyard fence. She even sent us the cutest little “Two-dles” Cake Topper that Liam kept showing all his guests!
Love, love, love this sturdy photo booth frame by Lisbeth (AllPartyArt). I couldn’t believe how cute it turned out. All of our guests kept saying it was the best frame they’d seen at a birthday party! The “Liam” banner was by Ayelet (CelebratingDreams), who also did the most AMAZING job on our Mickey favor bags.
The kiddos loved their cups by Kara (RaeLeeMaeCreations). How adorable are the retro paper straws? Obsessed! Kara also did an amazing job on the customized Ketchup and Mustard bottles she sent us. What an awesome touch!
Angelica (Happy2Crafts) sent me the cutest Mickey weights for our balloon arrangements, but also these centerpiece props. We ended up using them as photo booth props because everyone suggested it – the kiddos loved them! Now, let’s talk favors – these ladies did the BEST job on these! Charlene (CharsFunCrayons) and Randi (AlphaCrayons) have the most unique Etsy shops and I highly recommend you visit them for birthday favors you haven’t seen before. Lilly (PartybyDrake) sent me adorable Mickey and Minnie bubble wands, and, to this day, Moms are still telling me how practical they are on the go at the park or on a day out! Finally, Rosa (RJPartyCreations) so generously sent me these candy wands that were a major hit with our guests! The chocolate candy was delicious and the wands such a showstopper! Thank you ladies so, so much!
Both banners you see in the background were a huge hit with our guests! Brandy (BrandalynsPaperie) sent us the top Mickey Ear/Hand/Heart Banner, and Monica (PartyLux) sent us the flag banner below it, along with a ton of confetti we sprinkled on the food table. Thank you ladies!
All three of us were OBSESSED with our family t-shirts by Nora (FrontSight). Ours said “Mama Mouse” and “Daddy Mouse” and Liam’s said “Birthday Mouse”. How adorable?! We got so many compliments! The shirts were so soft and comfortable too – so happy with them!
A few outfit changes for our Liam – I’m obsessed with both of these! Rachelle from TheSassySeedling sent us the “Two” shirt and Bree (PiggyHadTea) sent us the red Mickey tie shirt. Thank you ladies!
Again, thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the party and made it such a hit… You guys were amazing to work with and really made the day magical and unforgettable for Liam. Now, to my readers: if you are planning a birthday party or other themed event and if you like what you see above, please work with these Etsy vendors. They were all absolute GEMS to work with! You will not regret it!
